You can view all of Nikon’s deals on its Black Friday camera deals page. I don't know what makes you say that DEEP Prime already works like DEEP Prime XD for X-Trans sensors?ĭEEP Prime gives excellent results on X-Trans files but XD might work more like Topaz Sharpen AI, which also reduces noise but with different aim.ĭxO PL6 does not show a real-time preview of the DEEP Prime NR applied to the whole image, just like older versions only applies it to the small swath.Z5 with 24-70mm F4 S Lens Kit - Save $800 It is their AI based noise reduction since DxO PL4 (and for X-Trans obviously since v5 only).ĭEEP Prime XD is advertised as a different AI model and it's a separate option to select. Removing a lot of noise and bringing out a lot of detail. Its not supported for XD, period, like I say the ai element is already working in 5 for x-trans.ĭEEP Prime is their original AI based noise reduction and it works very well. I suspect it does not (yet) work with other X-Trans sensor cameras either. The transition from xtrans to bayer equivalent is easy to see with deep prime in the output, what I'm interested to see from 6 is if I can see the whole image result in real-time with deep prime applied, not some tiny swatch of the applied deep prime and the rest in default non-corrected! It doesn't need to work for Fuji, the original deep prime already does what xd does for bayer. Just FYI, I found out that the new "DeepPRIME XD" in DxO PhotoLab6 does not work for my Fuji X-T3 or X-H1. There are other solutions that work well for me. ![]() Ya, yet it did not support the X-H2s when I tested and they have no interest in helping potential customers. That fact makes it even more disappointing that there is no mention these Fujifilm models aren’t supported in this new release! Thanks for the heads-up. Interesting, especially as Photolab 5 and DeepPRIME (non-XD) now support the X-H2S, as well as the other X models I own. I also had a quick stroll through their forums, while the X-Trans issue was mentioned a few times, there was no official feedback in this matter. If I would've known beforehand it doesn't support X-Trans with DeepPRIME XD, I would've waited before activating my trial until an update is released. So that lack of communication is very disappointing. Is it a simple bug which got overlooked and will be fixed soon? If not, is support still planned in a future update or will we have to wait for Version 7 in order to use XD with X-Trans? ![]() Now with Version 6 and DeepPRIME XD not a single word is mentioned. However they stated at release the X-Trans support was still in beta and is getting worked on. ![]() When they announced X-Trans support last year, finally, I was very pleased and they kept on improving it, releasing full support a couple of months later. I am a year long customer and user for DXO's image processing software, even back when it was still marketed as OpticsPro. In addition there are no notes in the supported cameras database. No mention of any limitations regarding X-Trans files, neither in the manual, nor in the release notes, which by the way also has a list of known issues and limitations - but the X-Trans compatibility isn't mentioned either. So I went ahead and took a look at their documents for Version 6. I double checked the announcement but there was no clue about limitations regarding compatible cameras and the new XD noise reduction. It also doesn't work on X100V and X-Pro3 files.
